Google launches Spotify competitor “Google Play Music All Access”

Google just launched an on-demand subscription music service called Google Play Music All Access, bravely taking on Spotify.  All Access will feature millions of songs you can play instantly, recommendations, playlists and charts as well as instant radio stations. It launched in the US yesterday for $9.99 a month and will be available on Android devices as well as on the web.

If you’re an avid Spotify user you may ask what makes All Access better. Well, the main difference seems to be that you get to organise your music. During the launch Google’s Chris Yerga explained that with current music services you may have a huge catalog to choose from, but getting that music organised and playing quickly is just too hard. All Access is set up to not only give you access to great music, but also to guide you through it all.

“This is radio without rules. It’s as lean-back as you want to or as interactive as you want to,” Yerga said. Sounds like exciting stuff and we can't wait to try it out for ourselves!
